Five Tips to help you stay motivated when you just aren't...
Are you doing MO-re for yourself or saying NO to the things that will move you forward toward your fitness goals?? š§š§š§
Sometimes the journey is tough. And sometimes we self-sabotage and stop. šš£ And you know what? Itās okay. Youāre human. BUT what isnāt okay is staying there.
So, a few tips to help you keep that motivation (and those habits) going when you feel like saying No:
* Donāt think about it: Yeah, I know, WHAT?? But honestly the longer you think about doing something, the less likely youāll actually do it if youāre looking for an excuse not to. So, donāt think. Just do (in my Yoda voice).
* Remember your WHY: Yeah, that deep personal reason that made you start this journey in the first placeā¦.what is it? Donāt know or donāt quite remember. WRITE. IT. DOWN. And tattoo it to your brain.
* Do the hard stuff FIRST: Youāve heard the saying, āeat the frog first.ā Or something like thatā¦.well, if you have those tasks you know you need to do but just donāt want to, do it first thing so itās over.
Hate logging food? Pre-log in the morning or night before. Then itās done and you can do you the rest of the day. Too tired to work out? Throw on some gangsta rap, warm up with some jumping jacks and handle it. Then do the stuff you were looking forward to. Youāll feel better after. Trust me.
* Go for a walk and listen to something: Physical activity + some mental activation = š„. Take a break and just put on some music or a podcast that inspires you, and run or walk it out.
* Have fun! Do something fun that you enjoy. Love to paint? Paint a picture. Enjoy swimming? Go for a few laps. But the more joy you have, the more motivated youāll feel. Pinky promise š¤.
